Places Samphire has taken us
Harbours, anchorages and coastlines reached aboard Samphire, beginning on the South Coast and growing with each longer voyage.
Meet Samphire
Samphire is a Sadler 32: a capable British cruising yacht with ambitions considerably larger than her dimensions. She is being progressively prepared for longer passages while still being used for the sailing that makes the work worthwhile.
- Design: Sadler 32
- Type: British cruising yacht
- Current sailing area: South Coast and Channel waters
- Longer-term ambition: Atlantic and Caribbean cruising
A boat with a documented past
Before she became Samphire, this Sadler 32 sailed as Samingo II and underwent an extensively documented restoration between 2011 and 2013. That inherited history now sits alongside a new phase of preparation for longer voyages.
Preparing for bigger water
The work below deck, in the engine bay and at the chart table that makes longer passages possible.
What does an adventure like this really cost?
A developing, transparent record of buying, maintaining and preparing an older yacht for longer voyages.
